Ambutech Pre-Hospital Care is an independent training provider that specialises in Ambulance Service education. Our Ambulance Support Worker and Associate Ambulance Practitioner apprenticeships can be delivered at our training centre in Manchester, or on-site at your premises.

Ambulance Care Assistant

Standard: Ambulance Support Worker

Funding: £7,000

Duration: 12 months

Ambulance Care Assistants (ACAs) are primarily responsible for ensuring the safe non-emergency transportation of patients to and from medical facilities. Their duties encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients during transit.

Emergency Care Assistant

Standard: Ambulance Support Worker

Funding: £7,000

Duration: 12 months

Emergency Care Assistants (ECAs) primary responsibilities involve assisting healthcare professionals, such as paramedics, in responding to emergency calls and providing pre-hospital care to patients. ECAs work as part of a team to provide timely and effective emergency medical care.

Associate Ambulance Practitioner

Standard: Associate Ambulance Practitioner (level 4)

Funding: £15,000

Duration: 15 months

Associate Ambulance Practitioners (AAPs) respond to emergency calls alongside paramedics, delivering emergency and urgent medical care. Their responsibilities include assessing, treating, diagnosing, managing and discharging patients, administering medicines as appropriate, and making referrals to other services, escalating decision-making to more senior clinicians as appropriate.
